What Constitutes Emergency Dentistry?
From time to time, most people will require emergency dental services. In the case of an emergency, our office in the Perth area is more than happy to take care of your needs.
So, what is emergency dentistry? It is the provision of dental services for those with acute trauma in need of immediate attention. The main dental emergencies are severe pain and swelling, chipped or broken teeth and tooth loss. Many dentists don’t like doing emergency dentistry, but we have a lot of experience and are happy to help people who are in need of immediate care.
We are open for some of the longest hours in the dental field: 8am to 8pm Monday through Saturday and 8am to 5pm on Sunday. This allows us to provide care when most other dentists are closed.
What to Do in Case of Dental Emergency
Since every dental emergency is different, we heartily recommend that you call us immediately when an emergency occurs. Our administrative staff can help you determine what you need to do next. For example, if you have lost a tooth, you can place it in milk or try to place it back in place before heading to our office. It doesn’t always work, but it can often save your tooth.
What to Expect
When you make it to the office, we do what we can to alleviate your pain as fast as possible. Every situation is different, so there is no “one size fits all” approach or solution. However, we do have a lot of resources at our disposal for both alleviating pain and for providing a surgical solution.
We know that you are in pain and treat you with professionalism and dignity. Our staff is filled with caring professionals who want to help you feel better as soon as possible.
